ERFSC serves all of Ward 7. This includes all of zip code 20019 and parts of 20020. If your zip code is 20020 and you believe you live in Ward 7, give us a call to determine your residency.
ERFSC serves families with children already in, or at risk of entering the District of Columbia’s Child Welfare system and who are residents residing in Ward 7; primarily families referred by child & Family Services Agency. We also work with a number of self referrals from the community.
ERFSC provides services that either directly or indirectly enhance family function and community development in Ward 7. These services include but are not limited to: case management, crisis intervention, and life skills/workforce development, parenting empowerment, adolescent services, housing assistance, fatherhood support, youth activities, financial education classes, community engagement, capacity building and technical assistance.
By calling our intake office at (202) 397-7300, ext.226. Potential applicants will be able to schedule an appointment with our Intake specialist. You should feel free to stop by our office, but generally appointments are preferred as the Intake Specialist may be meeting with another person if you come in without an appointment.
ERFSC’s office is open 8:30am to 8:00pm, Mondays to Thursdays, and 8:30am to 5:00pm on Fridays. Our afterhours emergency phone number is 202-329-1664.
All of our services are free to Ward 7 residents.
ERFSC primary source of funding is from the District of Columbia, Child and Family Services Agency. We do have funding from the Community Partnership for the Prevention of the Homeless, the Federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), The Annie E. Casey Foundation and several other foundations.
