Programs and Services

The work of ERFSC is performed by three divisions including Administration. The other two divisions include Community Services and Family Services. The intent of the Community Services Division is to coordinate all community related activities under one division. This includes capacity building, technical assistance, resource development and outreach. The Community Services Division is responsible for the operation of life skills/workforce development trainings where residents are provided with the soft skills (resume development, interviewing skills, conflict resolution/anger management, appropriate office etiquette) necessary to acquire and maintain employment.

ERFSC’s Economic Empowerment Program, which consists of a Volunteer Income Tax Clinic and a financial literacy program, is housed within this division also. This unit supports the work of the Family Services Division (to include parenting classes/support, community leadership/advocacy trainings, our fatherhood program, and youth development/leadership, and employment).

The primary responsibility of the Family Services Division is to provide information and referral assistance, data management, emergency assistance, housing and case management services to families. This division provides work to families referred from Child and Family Services Administration or from the community, including community partners.

With the addition of the Second Responder program in 2006, a Youth Services Division was created to devote to youth related activities. The programs under this division included:
1) the Second Responder Program;
2) youth development and leadership and
3) youth camping and employment.
Although the Youth Services Division was abolished due to a cut in funding for FY 2009, many of the services performed have been relocated to the two remaining divisions.
